10 Jul Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra: Donohoe Concert
Showing at: Warwick Hall Classical Music
Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra are delighted to welcome back their Patron, Peter Donohoe for Brahm’s 2nd Piano Concerto, which he played exactly fourty years ago in his first concert with the WSO. This beautiful concerto, lasting 50 minutes, is one of the longest ever written, and culminates in a thrilling, energetic finale.
The programme begins with Wagner’s famous overture to one of his early operas. The compelling dramatic effects and overwhelming emotional strength of César Franck’s symphony have immediate appeal.
