How do you reconnect with a community you've tried so hard to forget?

Join Bridge House Theatre for this very special screening of Maanuv's Thiara's AAJAO, a short film on grief, guilt and the meaning of home.

There will be an introduction from the creative team and a post-screening Q&A with the director.

AAJAO (Welcome) is the story of Taj, a second generation immigrant caught between two worlds. Following the recent loss of his beloved father, Taj must find a way to pay tribute to him by mending broken bridges with the community he left behind.

Scared of losing the last connection to his roots, Taj must learn to embrace both parts of his dual identity before he loses even more.

A story of grief, guilt, and the meaning of home with a culturally significant voice - AAJAO speaks to everyone.

Shooting has taken place entirely in the West Midlands and Warwickshire, which means the creative team have been be able to authentically bring the places in the film to life. They also prioritised using local crew, to bring more opportunity and growth to the rapidly expanding creative sector in the Midlands.
