The Middle School Production
(Warwick School and King's High School)Doctor Faustus tells the story of a brilliant but quite bitter German scholar who believes he has reached the limits of human knowledge. To gain unlimited knowledge Doctor Faustus starts to learn the black art of necromancy. Upon summoning the devil Mephistopheles, Faustus agrees to give his immortal soul to Lucifer, in return for twenty-four years of unlimited knowledge, power, and fame. Doctor Faustus has a series of experiences that start off giving him everything he wants, and he gets the fame and recognition but he eventually starts to doubt - the deal he made with Mephistopheles. Everything that he wanted so badly at the beginning begins to destroy him.
