From the entertaining brilliance of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik to the breathtaking symphonic romanticism of Tchaikovsky's Serenade, Night Music explores the astonishingly varied sound world of the string orchestra. Piazzolla's brooding and hypnotic textures provide the perfect foil for the tango stylings of guitar and accordion, a combination that so readily conjures the alleyways and basement clubs of 1950s Buenos Aires.
Guitarist Craig Ogden and accordion player Miloš Milivojević will be joining Orchestra of the Swan for the evening. Described by BBC Music Magazine as "A worthy successor to Julian Bream", Australian born guitarist Craig Ogden is one of the most exciting artists of his generation. Performing alongside Craig will be Miloš Milivojević. Award-winning Serbian born, Miloš has been described as “A hurricane of imaginative invention” by Hilary Finch, The Times. His versatility as a musician performing different genres including classical, tango and world music has ensured he is in demand internationally.
