Arts Award Bronze

We can support parts A, B and C through any of our theatre-based school visits.

Part A: explore the arts as a participant

  • Membership of our young company (a membership fee is generally required but we do have some funded places available) provides regular opportunities to participate in practical workshops that explores specific techniques. All learners are encouraged to reflect on their own practice and take inspiration from others through discussions and practical activities. Please contact the theatre management team for further details about membership and how it can support Arts Award
  • Many of our Arts Festival activities are participatory and give young people the chance to try new skills and techniques.

Part B: explore the arts as an audience member

  • Students who visit the theatre are encouraged to take part in discussion either formally or informally to consider their own views about the performances and events they see. Our staff will do everything they can to support this process and can organise for the artists to speak directly to students where the opportunity exists.

Part C: arts inspiration

  • Students will be introduced to the work of performance artists and companies on their visit. They could use what they discover on their visit to support their research into an arts practitioner. We can help support safe use of social media to find out more about an artist’s work.
