Following on from the joy of 2023’s Nativity! The Musical, Bridge House Theatre is hosting a seasonal series of performances to celebrate the winding down of another year.
Comedy dynamos, Gavin Robertson and Nicholas Collett, are with us on Thursday 5th December at 7.30pm, performing Done to Death, By Jove A guaranteed hit with the whole family, watch as these two actors tackle the Great British Detective tradition! Holmes and Watson meet Poirot and Miss Marple (alongside the usual suspects) in a spoof homage - who murdered Lady Fanshawe!? Why is Matron Maudesly so friendly with one of the guests at the Clinic of Hopes and Cures!? Why have the sound cues got mixed up?
Made all the more tricky to tell, as theatrical knights, Sir Gavin of Robertson and Sir Nicholas of Collett attempt this 6-actor show, given the other 4 are stuck in a broken-down van on the M6. With only the two of them to play all the assigned roles, what could possibly go wrong?
Kevin Short from International Times write "Hilarious and quite brilliant! The super-talented twosome assume various guises, even playing scenes holding multiple hats, representing the absentee cast. Holmes and Watson (their main roles) become a multitude of characters, and sometimes it's hard to tell what is impeccably rehearsed and what is impishly improvised.”
Secure your tickets to this comedy adventure for as little as £14!
Then come back the next evening and sing along to Queen’s Greatest Hits with The Bohemians on Friday 6th December at 7.30pm (starting at £24.)
Whether you’re a Killer Queen or a Champion, this irresistible evening of entertainment from the internationally celebrated tribute act is sure to have you waving your banner all over the place.
Right from the beginning you will be gripped by a bombastic, authentic audiovisual representation of Queen’s iconic Wembley ‘86 performance as the Bohemians burst onto the stage to the strains of One Vision and A Kind of Magic. So many fabulous hits to be covered but they’re all here, from the early piano and harmony heavy wonders of Killer Queen and Don’t Stop Me Now, to the later, catchy pop anthems of the eighties.
If you’re a Queen fan, which we know you are, you won’t want to miss this one.

Bah Humbug! by On a Role Theatre is a bittersweet comedy that provides a twist to the Scrooge experience.
Joanne is very rich but all alone on Christmas Eve. She hates Christmas with a passion and explains at length what is wrong with it. She eventually nods off to sleep and awakes to find a woman in her flat. She has no idea how she got in, who she is, or what she wants. On the other hand, the woman seems to know a great deal about Joanne and her family and her somewhat murky past.
Performed by the sensationally funny Katherine Parker-Jones and Liz Grand. Please note, Bah Humbug! is recommended for ages 14+ due to some strong language.
Book your seats for Friday 20th December at 7.30pm to escape from the dreaded last-minute late-night shopping! Tickets are £18 general admission or £16 for audience members over 60.
Treat yourself to some evenings of festive cheer, complete with a glass of something fizzy, and expect a warm welcome.
