Do you live in Warwick or the surrounding areas? Are you looking for opportunities to perform? Are you available to support your local youth theatre group?
Bridge House Young Company is excited to announce an opportunity for older adults to get involved in an intergenerational theatre and movement project to be developed this summer.
‘From A to B’ will explore the theme of journeys over five Saturday mornings in June/July. Participants will work in collaboration the Bridge House Young Company Juniors (ages 7-11), with the professional guidance of choreographer Kath Waters and director Imogen Tong, to create a short piece of work to be shared on Saturday 5th July 2025.
No performance experience necessary, just an enthusiasm to be part of a varied company and explore text and choreography on the chosen theme.
The project dates will be:
Saturday 7th June 9.30am-11am- building connections and developing ensemble
Saturday 14th June 9.30am-11am – text focus
Saturday 21st June 9.30am-11am – choreography and movement focus
Saturday 28th June 9.30am-11am – choreography, movement and text interplay
Saturday 5th July 9.30am-11.30am - bringing everything together and sharing
Rehearsals will take place in the drama studios at Warwick School, Myton Road. As this is a short project, participants are expected to commit to every date of the project.
If you are keen to take part or would like to find out more, please contact Imogen Tong via email [email protected] or call 01926776400
The format of 'From A to B' is a new venture for Bridge House Young Company and we hope that if this initial project is a success we will be able to develop more substantial intergenerational work in the future.
Please do spread the word amongst anyone you feel might be interested, this promises to be a hugely rewarding and enjoyable experience.
